Moments of tornadoes in Datca and Alanya on camera

Yayınlanma tarihi:

A tornado, which lasted for about 10 minutes, occurred offshore of Mugla’s Datca district after the heavy rain on Sunday. A day later another tornado occurred offshore of Antalya’s Alanya district. Even though it caused panic among the locals, the tornado disappeared before reaching the land. Both tornadoes were captured on camera.

In Datca, a tornado occurred in the sea after a short rainstorm on Sunday noon. The tornado, which emerged at around 14:00 off the Greek island of Sombeki (Symi) in the Mediterranean, approached the shores of Datca after a while. The tornado then disappeared, heading towards the Aegean Sea, Gokova Bay, over the Goreme coast. The tornado, which lasted for about 10 minutes, was captured on mobile camera by the locals.

On the other hand, while it was snowing on Tahtali Mountain at an altitude of 2,365 meters in Antalya’s Kemer district on Monday morning, a tornado occurred in the sea in Alanya, one of the eastern districts of Antalya. The tornado, which formed at a point close to the land off the Konakli Neighborhood, caused panic among locals. The tornado was seen from many points in the neighborhood and captured on a mobile phone camera by the locals. Heading landward, the tornado disappeared before reaching the shore.
